World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For instance an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgraded and their respective values. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button within the Best item upgrade menu using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the Best item upgrade and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make all the difference to your survival. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense your character has the more value you will get from every point of health you possess, so it's important to upgrade your armor as often as you can.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the corresponding fountain and then you can contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large number of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to withstand a rout with your comrades.

You can't upgrade your armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or the power of spells. Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in an Alchemist's chest. However, the cost of upgrading changes depending on what type of potion you'd like to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. Trinkets

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). When choosing the items to upgrade, players should consider the preferred statistics of their class. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they are no longer useful, and the new trinket will receive an additional 1% upgrade bonus. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying new ones.
