Size

Double pushchairs tend to be larger than single ones, especially when they are side-byside buggies, such as the Kolcraft Geo 3 or UPPAbaby. This extra width enables them to accommodate larger children without straining their chassis. They also come with other key features that make them stand out, including large pop-out canopy sizes with SPF 50 and windows that peek out as well as swivel lock front tires that help navigate tight spots such as aisles for shopping; a one-parent cup holder and an innovative fold mechanism that can be operated by one hand; and 10 inch back wheels that aren't made for tough terrain but manage city streets and theme parks quite well.

These buggies that are lightweight have surprisingly low price tags.

Weight

The heavier the double buggy the more easy it is to move and lift. The Joie Evalite Duo is a great option if you need to be cognizant of weight, since it's the lightest in our Lab tests, but it still has plenty of features, including nice-sized pop-out canopies that come with SPF 50 and peekaboo windows; a quick-release fold that folds flat in just a few minutes; four-wheel suspension to handle rough terrain and an adjustable front wheel that makes navigating tight shops and supermarket aisles easy. It's also affordable at just over PS1,000. It can also carry twins or a baby and toddler with the purchase of an additional'sidepack'.

Flexibility

A good double buggy can provide a lot of flexibility, regardless if you have twins or an infant and a toddler. The narrow tandem buggies are ideal to fit into tight spaces, while side-byside models keep your children accounted for and allow you to keep an eye on them while you navigate the supermarket or the park. A lot of buggies come with a variety seats so that you can modify the seat as your child grows. Some even permit the addition of the option of a car seat or ride-on board.
