The Lightest, Most Compact and Easiest to Fold Travel Strollers

This stroller is among the lightest and most compact. It's also one of the easiest folding strollers. Despite its size, it provides an excellent ride, a great sun canopy and multi-position recline.

This stroller is a great value at less than $100. It has a simple, compact fold and a carry strap, which makes it easy to sling over your shoulders or take to public transportation.

The Coya TRVL ($320), one-handed, one-step fold that is also compatible with car seats and comes with an enormous canopy. It's more expensive than the other models in this category, but offers additional features like a large cupholder and a parent's pocket, an adjustable handlebar to fit parents of all heights, and a comfortable carry strap. The simplicity of the model does not mean it's as durable, as relative to other models in this class.

2. Easy to fold

If you're constantly on the move, a travel stroller needs to be simple to open and close. You don't want a stroller that is difficult to close when you're carrying food items or children in your arms. The best travel strollers fold up easily and compactly, even with one hand. Many have a padded strap that you can wear comfortably over your shoulders.

In our tests In our tests, the Libelle stroller scored highly for its easy folding and compact size. However, it also has some nice features: It rolls smoothly over all surfaces and comes with a huge canopy that gives ample coverage. It's also extremely light and stands on its own when folded. This makes it much easier to put away.

We recommend parents who want their strollers to fit into the overhead bins of planes and are looking for models that promise to fit. The Munchkin Sparrow, for Foldable Pushchair example is a great fit in the smallest folding Stroller space and comes with a handy protective travel cover, but it has no reclining seat and a tiny cargo area that can accommodate a small bag or diaper bag (no backpacks).

Another option is the Babyzen Yoyo 2, which folds into a concertina style but also has a reversible seat for back-to-back or face-to-face riding. The handle is hidden behind the seat, however our editor didn't love the way it folded.

The tri-fold is the newest stroller that travels. It folds in three parts and offers the most compact combination of size and features. The UPPAbaby Miniu, as an example, comes with a reversible seat with a storage pouch that is not structured in the rear, and a locking latch to keep it folded. It's slightly larger than the umbrellas from the brand, but can be folded more compactly than G-Luxe or G-Link counterparts. It also comes with a padded shoulder strap.

3. Easy to store

The best strollers fold up into an easy-to-store size that's easy to fit in the trunk of your car or into the overhead bin on a plane. Some models come with a strap can be used to carry the stroller over your shoulder so your hands don't get exhausted. They are also lighter than normal strollers.
