WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

The item level upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using the help of button, which displays an image of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item upgrader kit as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance.
