UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Over time the handles on your doors will wear down and require replacement window handle. In this case, it is crucial that the new handles conform to the critical dimensions of the old handle.

Inline Lever/Lever

Lever Pad

Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins with both internal and external doors usually requiring different levels of security.

The choice of cylinder is crucial. It depends on the use that your doors and handles receive. For instance, exterior doors must be secured with a higher security cylinder, whilst internal doors can be secured with the standard cylinder. In addition, some cylinders come with additional features that can improve security further, such as anti-drill or anti-bump features.

A euro cylinder should be measured correctly to ensure it's the right size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the hole in the center of the fixing screw to the other end of the cylinder and the thumb turn if you have one. If you cannot measure with the lock in position, you can take it out of it. It is crucial to ensure that there is no cylinder that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it vulnerable to snapping lock attacks.

Most newer cylinders have been constructed with anti-drill and bump resistance features that are built into their design. These features are designed to minimize the chances of an attack by forcing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This will help to deflect an attack and keep your door safe.

There are cylinders that are constructed to withstand snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the lock's break line and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a much faster and easier way to gain access than through a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the burglary which could hinder insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

These cassettes can be used as a replacement to broken or missing cassettes in the backplate of uPVC door handles. They are sold as a single unit. They feature a square cut out that can accommodate an 8mm shaft.
