GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

As its name suggests, GE’s Profile series is aimed at consumers who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology into their kitchens. This fridge is loaded with them all, from the Keurig K cup coffee maker inside the door, to a clever dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive and I was expecting better.

This fridge is a great choice, despite the small blip. It features a large freezer compartment which is uncommon for counter-depth french fridge freezer uk-door fridges. It also has a large capacity for frozen food, which is a big difference from other models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment has 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is about the same as the size of a French door refrigerator that costs this much. It also has a decent-sized icemaker packed into the left door, though it's not the largest I've seen.

You can alter the shelves in both compartments to make an individual storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is also attractive. The LED lighting is a nice feature and the inside storage bins feature a third shelf that can fold down to make it possible to store items that are tall. The drawers have temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings to be a little hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. This includes Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and has numerous options for customization. It also gives you notifications when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill it's an option in a handful of other GE refrigerators that allows you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to dispense at a time. The fridge shows a countdown to reveal how much water remains but it's not as helpful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Created to appear like a seamless piece of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also comes with a veggie compartment to keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer and has dual compressors for maximum preservation of food. The ice maker is one of the top we've tested and produces pyramid-shaped ice that is low in water usage. This refrigerator is the ideal choice for single household or kitchenettes who want a sleek design and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, and never changing more than a fraction an inch. This is essential to avoiding freezer burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the desired initial set temperature within an hour and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi as well as Bosch's Home Connect platform. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The top shelf to the right can be folded down to make space for tall items. You'll also find a full width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, for instance, sliding drawers that help to organize the place of items. It also has a huge bin that can hold plenty of frozen food items as well as an additional storage bin for ice.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It lets you control the fridge's temperature as well as lighting via your smartphone. It's an easy way to monitor your refrigerator and control it, especially when not at home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily improve the performance of the fridge. This fridge took longer to defrost food and chill it than other models we tried. This is likely due to the larger capacity.

The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, but they're difficult for taller people to guide closed without slamming the doors. It would have been more effective to have front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal option for those looking to combine the benefits of a french door fridge small-door refrigerator's aesthetics with a more efficient layout. It has a capacity that is superior to counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a bit cheaper than the top counter depth refrigerator with an icemaker, which makes it a great option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door non plumbed fridge Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice for those looking for a French-door fridge that won't break the budget. It's a minimalist design that's not as striking visually like some of the competitors but it does have enough features to make it a good pick. Its most notable characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice machine that works fast.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you redirect some of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can keep food items that need extra attention. You can adjust the feature using an adjustable slider that is located just outside of the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.

During my tests, I found that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different parts of the refrigerator. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray significantly from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a great performance, but it isn't quite at the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer for more precise measurements of your fridge's temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of gray-bodied stainless with a "smudge resistant" finish. It does a great job of repelling fingerprints and streaks even when compared with glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
