1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its extremely nimble handling and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame, curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack form a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eye, with a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The frame's weight is less than a kilogram and is so light that you can lift it from the box with one hand.

It's also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30deg to help deter staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It could also be converted into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who are looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it does not flex as much as other wagons we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and does not lock tightly once folded. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also offers an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. Its sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

It took us less than 3 minutes to assemble the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. The seat and carrycot can be easily converted in a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.

It's a breeze to maneuver and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the massive shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child out and in quickly. This narrow pushchair handled every day bumps and doors effortlessly.

The front wheels can be locked into an forward position or let them swivel which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. On our walk along the stony path we let them swivel and it performed well, though it did appear a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is known for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler pushchairs for jogging, but they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to fold and fits into the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It is heavier than the other strollers that we tried, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels solid and well-constructed. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all kinds of terrain, and it's easy to carry, even when loaded with two kids and a shopping bag.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, in contrast to other prams hoods which can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It does not have much storage space, but it comes with an ample basket that is deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of food. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for infants up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to use a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of a lot of parents when it first appeared. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a few distinctive features like the possibility of flipping the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

It folds down compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
