If you're on a tight budget and don't want a stroller that doubles as car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip-flop comfortable.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and the 6+ months colour pack combine to create a stylish pushchair that has a soft elegant design. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it using one hand).

It's also easy to add or remove attachments or adaptors such as the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable at 30 degrees to remove staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller wagon. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon by simply turning the handle, so parents can choose the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to five years old. It has a large storage basket that can hold all your needs while on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as deep or large as other wagons, which means it might not be comfortable for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid but it doesn't have the same flex as some of the other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the other models and does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored highly in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions. This means it's lightweight single stroller and compact when folded and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also features a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than most of the other cheap strollers we tried, but it's not the easiest to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopies.

It took us just under three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. The seat can be reclined with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to get their child in and out. This narrow pushchair handled every day bumps and doors with ease.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward-facing position, or they can rotate. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate on our walk along a stony path. It handled the situation well, even though it felt a little more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most famous for its three-wheeled, all-terrain strollers for jogging. But they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It folds easily and fits in the trunk of a car even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers we tried, but the wheels are rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and sturdy. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain. It's easy to move, even when loaded with two children and a shopping bag.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that can be lowered to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are sturdy and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's deep enough for an infant's changing bag and plenty of food items. It can also be linked with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to take a stroller with you on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of a lot of parents when it first debuted. It's an aluminium framed stroller that can see you through your baby's early days and beyond. The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors that are fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't perfect - it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be adapted to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned so that they face each the other. They can also be positioned to face the parents. This should lessen sibling fights over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a huge tray for gears with a bottle holder as well as snack tray. It also has an automated frame lock as well as a compact fold.
