Upgrades to weapons are typically less expensive than upgrades to armor, since weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required increases as an item is upgraded.

Upgraded items will also have enhanced stats that can boost its performance in various ways. This could include increasing the power of its attack, critical strike chance, or damage per second. Additionally, an upgraded item may be able to give additional buffs for its equipped unit. These upgrades can be utilized for a variety of reasons, including to boost the overall strength of an individual or group unit. They also can be a significant influence on the gameplay.

Items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. These NPCs are located in major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also find upgraders in dungeons that have high-level bosses and by talking to NPCs in their faction's garrisons.

The upgrade system for items in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the level of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is very similar to the process of reforging gear in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however instead of using the currency that is appropriate, players must visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.

Upgrades can be costly particularly for armor and weapons. Depending on the upgrade track each step up in the level of an item can cost many Valorstones and crests. The cost are prohibitive for those who do not have the resources or are unwilling to grind.

Fortunately, the game lets players play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an exclusive tool within the items menu. This option allows you to replace the upgraded item with a level 1 version that offers different bonuses. This can be useful to improve the roll of items that are already upgraded. However, it can also be a waste.

Requirements

A player can Reroll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new version. The new item will come with an additional set of bonuses, as well as a lower level of base item. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for dexterity and strength. It is important to remember that the item upgrader kit rerolled does not keep its original strength or any of its wasted resource.

Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the original item was Unique, Rare or Epic. Extraordinary items can also be rerolled, but the original stats are replaced with a flat-rate bonus. This means that rerolling an item that is Rare item will result in a normal version of the same kind, while rerolling an Epic item will result in an elite version of the same type.

(Dice 6 can be dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.

Time

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of your gear and ship without the need to level them. Although upgrading isn't inexpensive, it's an effective way to boost your stats without having to spend a lot of time fighting. It's important to know the costs and benefits before making the investment of time or money.

Each upgrade boosts the item's base stat in a specific amount, and offers the chance of obtaining an additional substat. The extra substat is random and could range from a slight increase in one statistic to a larger increase in another. It is best to concentrate on the most effective items in the slot first, as they'll yield a higher return for your investment.

You can view the time required to complete an upgrade if you open your inventory and choose a weapon, ship or other accessory. The upgrade window will display the estimated completion time and the progress. In some cases, you may be able to speed the process by using a Glyph.

Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage offer a salvage kit that permits you to retrieve all or a portion upgrade components. This is not the case for legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered using an upgrade extractor or making a claim with the appropriate Karma merchant.

Take advantage of the benefits

The upgrading of items provides players with currency and a variety of items. Every upgrade has a chance of granting an unspecified stat bonus. The higher the levels an item is upgraded the more stat value will be and the more items that can be upgraded.

upgrade item components can be added to trinkets, weapons, or armor to earn an attribute bonus or to create a unique effect while the equipment is being worn. Some upgrade components also come with cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade item items by crafting, buying from vendors, or at the Trading Post, looting, or obtaining an incentive. In addition players can retrieve upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or by salvaging them with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs, which are placed in tools for gathering, can be freely swapped out without restrictions.

A player can turn an item into another upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button with a reroll arrow. This will change the layout and let players select up to six items for "recycling". The item will be replaced by one of the level 1 items. Recycled items don't keep their status or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.

An item's maximum upgrade level is determined by its tier and quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels of nine, while common items can only be upgraded up to level six. The upgrades to an item are added to the base statistics of the item which means that they do not increase after a certain amount.
