The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and don't require an extra stroller that can be used as car seat carriers. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's easy to push and it feels solid when you are walking along woodland paths and kerbs. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate light-weight cheap single buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits in aeroplane overhead luggage. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to 'perfectly traverse all types and terrains'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a chic pushchair with a delicate elegant look. The base frame alone weighs just over a kilogram and is so light that you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 with a reassuring manner. It's also machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps avoid the stains that result from smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. It can be used as a pram right from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon by simply turning the handle, meaning parents can select the mode they prefer for their trip. The wagon is able to accommodate two or more children between 6 months to 5 years old. It has a large storage basket that can hold all your needs while on the go.

The Xplore comes with two canopy options that can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for the entire family. It also has a footwell, which is not as deep or wide as other wagons, which means it may not be ideal for long-distance excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore is solid and sturdy but it doesn't have as much flex as some of the other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to move, however, and it can fit through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are seeking a second stroller that is affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also features a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as cup holders for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels as well as two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than the majority of other strollers that we tried, but it's not the easiest to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. The sunshades it has are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together with an average manual, and none of the components required tools. However, it's missing some critical features that we think you should not compromise on for a double stroller such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair and is marketed as a travel system for urban use. It can be used from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted with only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base and a reversible carriage.

The seat reclines with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to take their child in and out. Despite this being quite a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps with ease and went through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. When we walked on the stony path, we let them swivel and it performed well although it did seem a little bumpier than others on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler single pushchairs for jogging, but they also offer a great range of 4-wheeler strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is easy to fold and can fit in the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It weighs more than other strollers we've test, but since it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-made. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are water-resistant and durable unlike other prams' hoods which get bounced back into toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you are looking for a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of a large number of parents when it first appeared. It's an aluminium framed stroller that can see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a lot of standout features, such as the ability of the seat to be turned between parent and world facing, a large UPF50+ canopy that has a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. It was simple to push, and our tester was able to maneuver the vehicle through the narrow streets.

It folds down in four easy steps and automatically locks without fuss. It can also be rolled and raised for easier transport down the stairs or in the car's boot. The travel system is available with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors included. The brakes are simple to use using a single stroller with bench seat action color coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and has an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also super lightweight and robust. The seat can be reclined to many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress built in that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and can be used with carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can face one another or rotate around to face parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling rivalries over who gets to sit with dad and mom. It comes with a massive bottle holder, a gear tray snack tray, and a change mat. It also comes with an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who want to keep active. It's among the lightest strollers for running that you can buy your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, such as a 5-point safety harness as well as a wrist safety straps. It has a different type of hand brake unlike other models that is a twist.

The seat is well-padded and has a wide area to sit in, however the seat's depth is lower than other joggers we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is equipped with a zippered cover to help keep items secure. It can hold 10 lbs. This is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters to fit most infant car seats and bassinets however, you can use them from the very first day with adapters that fit brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The instruction manual is simple to understand and comes in a variety of languages.
